1/13/2024 0 Comments Cvs covid testing fort wayneIf you have a nurse it’s not to help you but to add a second schedule of patients. This is the first job that I’ve had to call the police at, and on a regular basis. Bangs on the door demanding to be seen as a walk in when your schedule is already over booked. You are faulted for the long waiting times due to double booking appointment slots. I learned to never accept a position like this again.ĭealing with demanding aggressive angry upset patients allday is mentally draining. Your voice won't be heard, and they will work you until you can't take it any more. Your raises will be cents worth every year. You hardly ever get support staff so you are the MA, the nurse, and the provider running all of the POC testing, vaccines, vitals and diagnosing and treating. If you tell management about a rude or mean patient which happens basically daily, they say you can't do anything and cannot fire patients even if safety is in question. Patients are mostly not nice, and demand you provide services at their request, they don't treat you like a regular clinic practice with respect. They will double book your schedule, or schedule sick visits every TEN minutes with no regard for patient safety and even if you are drowning in all of the admin and provider responsibilities you have to do. You are stretched so thin, and corporate does not see you as a person. No one else comes to mop/clean the floors, take out trash or anything. You as a provider are responsible for everything from marketing, ordering supplies, testing supply kits, seeing patients, registration, insurance, checking them out, being the janitor, cleaning the rooms, keeping the rooms and waiting area clean. Definitely taking the "care" out of healthcare. It seems like they only require a warm body to fill positions or keep them filled. Addition of LVN staff not as helpful as hoped to assist with clinic management but spent most of time cleaning up their errors and trying to teach them how to do their job. ![]() If you are lucky enough to have a great clinic partner, then job can be somewhat satisfying but you have to be able to trust all the providers in your region since they will also be managing your patients and clinic from time to time and some are horrible. As years went by, the communication between management & providers got worse and worse benefits dwindled yearly little respect for patients or providers because its all about the business needs clinic environment isolating & poorly designed shared government but too busy to address list of issues Epic EMR created by company is NOT user friendly with hard stops related to their need for data collection questions at every visit even if patient just seen IT nightmare with multiple issues daily too many administrative tasks. In Tennessee, GoodRx is registered as a Prescription Drug Discount Plan Operator.I was extremely happy for many years with MinuteClinic but I think they became too focused on "the numbers" & becoming US healthcare giant.
